EVALUATION
Our comprehensive evaluation process is thorough and empathetic. It includes a detailed case history, review of medical records, a parent/caregiver interview, and an assessment of your baby's development. We also observe your infant's feeding to gain a full understanding of their needs.
TREATMENT
In our 45 to 60-minute treatment sessions, we employ evidence-based strategies tailored to your child's specific feeding challenges. Each session is focused on enhancing both your child's feeding skills and the overall feeding experience.

Reliance on specific caregivers for feeding
Upset or aversion to facial touch, especially during mealtimes
-
Turning away or arching back during feeding.
Coughing, choking, or gagging while eating or drinking.
Difficulty with loud, hard swallows or gulping.
Food or liquid spilling from the mouth.
Nasal or chest congestion during feeding.
Vomiting frequently or making concerning sounds while eating.
Refusal to eat or drink.
Fussiness or irritability associated with feeding.
Frequent fatigue or sleepiness during feeding.
Altered breathing or blue facial appearance while feeding.
Limited food intake not suitable for the child's age.
-
Long feeding times (over 30 minutes).
Need for distractions or rewards to encourage eating.
Challenges in transitioning from breast/bottle to open cup or straw.
-
Difficulty with food temperatures, textures, or chewing age-appropriate foods.
Delay in reaching fine and gross motor milestones.
If your child exhibits any of these signs, it may be beneficial to seek a consultation for a comprehensive evaluation. Early intervention can significantly improve feeding and swallowing difficulties, enhancing your child's overall development and wellbeing.
